    NM Washington Insider,
Are you viewing this report seriously? Or did you post it for some humour? This is not a sarcastic question.

It brings to mind Asimov’s character The Mule from the Foundation Series. How else can Obama say one thing and then in the next sentence say the opposite.

The GOP needs to avoid embracing more cranks if it wants to build a new majority. NLP used to be used to sell books to wishfully thinking nerds that told them all it takes to have successful relationships is chanting magic words and making gestures. It’s not surprising that someone is trying to take advantage of the same wishful thinking in the members of a dwindling political minority. It would be disastrous to fall for it, though.

I remember last year when the liberals were upset about the alleged “subliminal cross” in one of Huckabee’s ads. (http://tinyurl.com/b83oc2) I guess now the shoe is on the other foot.

Give me a break and stop treating us like we are idiots.
Is this really something we want to promote on a site like this?
Deal with reality or we will never beat Obama.

Let’s separate ourselves from the bizarro fringe that uses the GOP as a mask for their idiotic theories.
The Limbaugh Society (aka The John Birch Society) and others would be shouting into the wind if they weren’t able to cloak themselves as Republicans. If The Limbaugh Society is so powerful, let them run a slate of candidates, in some center of power like Wasilla or Baton Rouge, and see how they do.

“the problem is that Obama is taking those actions as PRECEDENTS which he is emulating”

I have no idea what you are talking aboiut with reference to the budget which is the subject of this post. Bush kept iraq and afghanistan off budget Obama has put them on budget. Bush wrote his budget as if AMT would be unchanged and produce the same revenue, then said he was in favor of changing it which would lower the revenue.

Obama’s budget does the opposite…thet’s change I can believe in and the exact opposite of a “tricky” budget.

will bobby jindal be sending back to the Feds the $100bln+ that Louisiana has received in aid since Katrina. Did private business offer to rebuild the levees ….with payments from whom ??????

What’s next, Ron Paul and the the gold standard? Birth certificates? Alan Keyes? An exorcist from Baton Rouge.?

    Funny (look up “irony”).

i think it was bobby jindal (aka the intern from 30 rock) who is the hypnotist/telepathist he put 1/2 his audience to sleep and was able to control the remote of the other half as they turned him off

I’m assuming this is a joke. Otherwise this website just became one

  • 11 A.B. // Feb 26, 2009 at 6:33 pm

Yes, one assumes this is an attempt to be droll. Since these comments are never replied to, who knows? Perhaps the webmaster can make the font for the comments section even smaller and lighter, since it clearly has nothing to do with the site. (Hint: this is old-fashioned, kids.)

I didn’t think this article was worth a serious reply. But since others did, I guess I will too. Dr.Erickson claims that Obama uses such techniques as: Pacing; linking statements; causality bridges; distraction; and emotion transfer. Gee, I thought every successful orator throughout history used those same techniques. Some public speakers just have a natural ability to connect with their audience; some don’t. It brings to mind Adlai Stevenson’s famous observation: In classical times when Cicero had finished speaking, the people said, ‘How well he spoke’; but when Demosthenes had finished speaking, they said, ‘Let us march!’”

I think this site does itself a disservice by publishing anonymous posters who post content like this. I would hope those of you in charge vet your contributors more closely.

BarbD………… HA. everyone here is anonymous!!! You BarbD are anonymous and afraid to hear the truth. You fit my last sentence perfectly, you are in denial.
