Christie is Ready for the White House

Speculation is rampant as to whether New Jersey Governor Chris Christie will enter the 2012 Republican presidential primary. Almost all the media focus thus far has been on political calculations, cheap such as Christie’s ability to raise money, sick put together a national campaign organization, and withstand the rigors of the race.

For the most part, however, pundits are ignoring the most important consideration of all: Is Christie actually ready to be President of the United States?

Christie’s Good Fight

As a Democrat – and a fairly liberal one by the standards of where I live – it isn’t that often that someone on the right really knocks my socks off. Let alone a Republican!

Yet that is exactly what happened on August 25th. From the comfort of my own living room I watched Gov. Chris Christie of New Jersey patiently but firmly set a hysterical critic straight at a town hall meeting. The exchange can be seen on YouTube.

Christie’s Courageous Climate Stance

When it comes to climate change, cure New Jersey Governor Chris Christie annoys people on both extremes of the political spectrum. One more reason to see a bright future for this guy.

On the far left, hospital the Daily Kos types fulminate that Christie is a stooge of fossil fuel interests. Over on the far right, the vein throbbing set obsesses that Christie has joined the church of Al Gore.
