Q. Where can a member of the John Birch Society to go to conduct anti-Communist activist in concern with other patriotic members of the community?
Their answer?
A. There is no organization presently constituted to undertake exactly the same set of activities as the John Birch Society undertakes: which is not to say that the John Birch Society is better than nothing. It is — for reasons shown — worse than nothing. However, the American Conservative Union, the Free Society Association, are new organizations free of Mr. Welch’s fantasies.

Good point. The John Birch society is the only conservative organization in existence. Nice research here.
