Secrecy for the AIG Bailout?

Let’s get this straight. The underwear bomber’s information is so unimportant to the security of the United States that he can be read a Miranda warning and urged to stop talking. But the details of the AIG deal – they are national security secrets so important that the SEC wanted to classify them top-secret???

    David, any time vast sums of money is transferred from the public purse to private hands you have to expect a veil of secrecy.

    If enough people raise an eyebrow or two and start asking questions…well, lookee hear now people. Seems the Iranians are conducting more missile tests, those crazy Iranians…and how are you coming along with your bomb shelter? You ARE building a bomb shelter, right? You ARE scared out of your wits, right? Because any day now a missile with your name on it is going to come down your chimney, unless we get to them first…
