But even assuming that your arguments are correct, why would Republicans from a political sense help a group out that overwhelmingly donates to the Democrat? This is especially true in southern states like Texas and Mississippi where the Democrats wouldn't even have a credible party apparatus without the support of prominent trial lawyers like Dickie Scruggs and the recently deceased Fred Baron.
