Palin to O’Donnell: Media Wants “Ur Destruction”

The Hill reports:

Former Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin (R) went to bat for Christine O’Donnell Sunday after the Delaware GOP Senate candidate canceled her appearances on two Sunday morning shows.

“C[hristine] O’Donnell strategy: time’s limited;use it 2 connect w/local voters whom you’ll be serving vs appeasing nat’l media seeking ur destruction,” Palin tweeted.

O’Donnell’s cancellation prompted criticism that she was unprepared to defend the string of controversial statements from her past — like that she had “dabbled into” witchcraft — which has emerged throughout the week.

Some wondered upon host Bob Schieffer’s initial Saturday announcement that she wouldn’t appear on CBS’s “Face the Nation” whether she was following Palin’s advice — given during an appearance on “The O’Reilly Factor” last week — to “speak through Fox” instead of other networks.

O’Donnell had canceled on “Fox News Sunday” Friday night, though, saying that she wanted to rest and focus on her state campaign.

I’d like just one so-called conservative to defend this practice of avoiding difficult questions from journalists. If these tea partiers are terrified of Wolf Blitzer or Katie Couric, how the hell can we expect them to face down Al Qaeda or Putin or even France?

  • Watusie

Ah, yes, – “connect with local voters” using all this cash which is coming in from out-of-state. Palin tw*ts about the national media, bu I’m curious – is O’Donnell talking to local media? Because Palin sure as hell won’t talk to the Alaska media. If O’Donnell was willing to talk to a local reporter, don’t you think the local reporter would be just as interested as the national media in asking her about her campaign finance law violations and her utterly bizarre backstory?

Beg to differ: The people of Dealware who are not insane bible beaters want Christine back to her old political bag lady status. That and stop embarrassing us.

Palin doesn’t get it the media love her, she sells copy for all her bat shit crazy ideas — true or not. Vanity Fair article on Palin was funny, true or not, it was fun to read how she’s so scary. I guess the nickname: Barracuda had to be earned.

How embarrassing for Fox News: Basically Palin told O’Donnell to only go on Fox ’cause they’re the only channel that will not ask hard questions. Imagine, Palin basically said: Go on Fox, they will let you advertise what you want– Palin has re-christened FoxNews as the RNC’s infomercial channel.

For God’ sake, can’t Palin just pick up the phone and call O’Donnell privately? Is she so juvenile that she feels she must communicate whatever empty thought goes through her vacuous head through that most vapid method of twittering or twatting or whatever the hell that idiotic thing is called.

I think O’Donnell will make a great addition to the Palin administration.

“I think O’Donnell will make a great addition to the Palin administration.”

As director of outreach to the Wiccan community?

    Priceless!

Carrying signs reading, “O’Donnell: Hands Off Our Masturbation,” the angry masturbators clogged downtown Wilmington, stopping traffic for blocks.

Harley Farger, a leading Delaware masturbator and planner of the Million Masturbators March, said it was difficult to organize masturbators “because they’re used to acting alone.”

I agree if all a candidate can do is play some phony game with the media or critics concerning legit questions, they ain’t worth a damn. But these folks believe the media is some dark force that will steal their hero’s soul or some rubbish like that.

    “ur destruction.”

What a simpleton. A former governor of a state who couldn’t/wouldn’t finish her job as a public servant and now tweeting her little heart out, whining about that big bad media. If it weren’t for them, no one would have had to listen to her inanities for the past 2 1/2 years!

To think anyone could even remotely think this woman is capable of getting past her childish high school grade antics. Putin? She probably can’t find Iraq on the map. Remember….she said she was too ‘busy’ to know anything about the surge. And said this while running for V.P.!

  • Fairy Hardcastle

Watusie, Gov. Palin is not running for office in AK.

  • anniemargret

FH: She’s not a governor. Get over it. She cut and ran, remember? You only get to call yourself a governor if you finish out your term. She didn’t. She preferred the cold, hard cash.

  • anniemargret

centrist: “I’d like just one so-called conservative to defend this practice of avoiding difficult questions from journalists.’

Can you imagine if a Democrat did this? Obama just took some tough questions from the audience. Can you imagine Palin doing the same? Without looking at her palm? Or maybe she could be wired up like Bush was?

  • Watusie

No Fairy, half-term-then-quit Palin is running for Prom Queen of the United States using a Facebook and Twitter campaign. I’m surprised that, having learned your lesson with O’Donnell, you can’t extrapolate the experience into a bit of insight about just what a twit your other crush really is.

  • anniemargret

Well, O’Donnell may have more to worry about than just her ‘dabbling’ in witchcraft . Looks like she did some fair amount of cheating in her campaign financing. The voters in DE will probably be wishing Castle got the nod instead of her in due time.

  • WillyP

yeah, gee, we could have had that squish sell out Castle. what were “we” thinking.
