@mr perkins , firstly please read the following "India's failing secularism",also by same author, available at www. guardian.co.uk. Next, i would like to know where did u find this gem"India with its 900 million “untouchables” living in slumdog abject poverty, totally overshadowed by the all important 70 million middle class, is the 'Failed state'. How can one ascertain who is the failed state, visit wiki perhaps?oops, pakistan has been featuring itself among the 10 top failed states in the world, for 4 years. The statistics u gave r staggering, so to say. I understand u r pakistani, but still do not believe everything zaid bhai says. India is poor,no doubt, but in comparison to pakistan we are in much better state in eleminatimg it. For example, we do not make the worlds costliest electricity. And tlking about caste politics, I just heard this joke,
How can u identify an Ahmadiyya in Pakistan?
He will be the one hanging from a lamppost.

Mr Kapil please try to at least have some vestige of journalistic integrity and impartiality when you write.

As a Hindu Indian nationalist and Indian secret services mouthpiece your declaration of Pakistan as a "failed state" and frequent calls for its break up are hardly suprising.

You really shouldnt insult your readers intelligence like that

Perhaps you ought to ponder that India with its 900 million "untouchables" living in slumdog abject poverty, totally overshadowed by the all important 70 million middle class, is the "Failed state". As the economic disparities increase India will likely break up into smaller states. Punjab will fall. Assam and West Bengal . But first it is likely to be Kerala
Only today the BBC carry a report on this

http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/world/south_asia/8546952.stm

Kerala defies all stereotypes of a typical socially backward Indian state - that is the 900 million population of this failed state i mentioned, namely swathes of people living in abject poverty, men outnumbering women because of female foeticide which hinduism encourages and islam in India stopped, and internecine caste politics and discrimination against minority religions
