Funny that the author links to the Yglesias article as a way of buttressing his contention that Obama doesn't prioritize principles. It's as if the only thing Trager read in the whole article was the blockquote from his boss that Yglesias included ... and not any of the article where Yglesias proved Frum's conclusion a misreading of Obama.

Seems like we have funny double standard here. When George W. Bush's popularity numbers in the U.S., Canada, Spain, France, Italy, Germany, Arab nations etc. were abysmal, neoconservatives coldly told us it did not matter since the U.S. is a superpower and does whatever it needs to protect its own national interests regardless of what "international opinion" thinks. Raise any objections to this and they start asking whether you are on America's side or not. Funny how all this changes when the ISRAELIS don't trust the American President, eh? All of a sudden the neocons go "blame America first" after all.

Maybe it's time for Congressional Republicans to stand up to Israel for once, and get them to the table with honest intentions.

The last Republican to show some tough love to Israel was George Schulz. We need people like him, right now. Unless we disagree that the Middle East is a cancer that keeps growing.
