When George W. Bush's popularity numbers in the U.S., Canada, Spain, France, Italy, Germany, Arab nations etc. were abysmal, neoconservatives coldly told us it did not matter since the U.S. is a superpower and does whatever it needs to protect its own national interests regardless of what "international opinion" thinks. Raise any objections to this and they start asking whether you are on America's side or not. Funny how all this changes when the ISRAELIS don't trust the American President, eh?
