At his press conference on Wednesday, President Obama scolded the media for focusing on his birth certificate instead of more important issues.
He started the conference by calling out NBC’s Chuck Todd directly.
“I can’t get the networks to break in on all kinds of other discussions,” he said. “I was just back there listening to Chuck—he was saying, it’s amazing that he’s not going to be talking about national security. I would not have the networks breaking in if I was talking about that, Chuck, and you know it.”
He then said that part of the reason that he wanted to release the birth certificate was because he was seeing coverage of the issue dominate the media, rather than discussion of the federal budget or other issues.

And yet the cameras are trained on him and he uses all the time to grandstand the unveiling of the birth certificate, and not even mention the people dealing with severe weather these past weeks and last night. Not even a little shout out. Not 2 seconds.
Only an idiot would believe this was anything but politics.
“Only an idiot would believe this was anything but politics.”
Only an idiot would believe your post was anything but politics. It doesn’t matter what Obama says, people like yourself will find something to complain about.
That’s what hate does.
People like you turn this country into a three-ring circus, and then complain when the president is forced to acknowledge the clowns spinning around him riding undersized tricycles.
Yea, well like I said…
Nwahs,
You may not like the President, but please be honest. Certain “media” outlets are a joke who are Only interested in two things, Ratings and money.
Accepting this does not make one a Socialist, Nazi, anti American, liberal……… What ever term you and others call the President
I’ve never called the president those things, have you?
But I’ve about had it with the mechanics of this site. I’m logged on on the home page but not logged on for posts. Then I’m logged on for blogs but not comments.

“Yea, well like I said…”
Like you said *what*? When the president calls a presser to discuss issue A and you whine that he didn’t bring up issue B, you’re just being a transparent partisan.
No, the President called it a distraction all the while he had an Oprah interview scheduled to coincide with the release
I’m wondering where the guys head is. I mean when he scheduled a press conference to discuss energy policy, he mentioned Japan’s earthquake. Its a shame he didn’t find the severe weather that took a number of lives and did great devastation, noteworthy. But I guess he had Oprah on the mind.
All Obama has on his mind is Obama. He is the one who kept this going for 3 years, so I don’t feel one bit sorry for him.
In fact, I am proud of my role in getting him to cough it up!!!
Plus, it is just sooo fun watching the Obotski spin and spew like that Exorcist person.
Tee Hee! Tee Hee!

Yeah, we need to focus on more important things, like why a President took the country to war with Libya all by himself. Last time I checked only Congress has the power to declare war. Obama didn’t even ask Congress for a how-dee-doo. But if France and the U.N. say jump, he asks, “How high?”
Or maybe he could have gotten off his butt and used Easter to deliver a message of support to beleaguered Christians who are being massacred in Iraq, Egypt, Nigeria, and Middle East. Naw, religious freedom? Why do we care about that?
Pompous, self-aggrandizing ass.
