Sinz.

The USA is backward when compared to other nations. Like China,Japan,Germany.

We are falling even further behind with the party of NO just blocking everything. They even block stuff they believe in and have co sponsored. & GOP Senators co sponsored the Paygo bill. Then they voted AGAINST it. What on earth is that all about? It just does not make any common sense.

I get the feeling this country is doomed if things in DC do not turn around. The GOP is trying to make the country un governable in the Grinrich close the government down mode but in slow motion.

Why do they hate America?

On left-wing blogs like TPMCafe and DailyKOS, there is no shortage of posts about how "backward" U.S. society is compared to the "enlightened" and "civilized" societies of Canada and Europe. And there are frequently voiced hopes that the U.S. "will join the civilized world and" --act like European nations. Not just on policy, but on how the society is constructed.

Since this is what the Left truly believes--and it seems that Obama agrees to some extent--it's just as well if they go into the 2010 campaign fighting for this goal. Let's have an open debate on communitarianism vs. individualism, secularism vs. religiosity, free markets vs. social democracy, transnationalism vs. patriotism. And let's see which course the American voters choose.

Bush was still blaming Clinton for 9/11 six years after taking office. Now of course according to Perino and the idiot Gulliani it did not happen at all on bush's watch.

The GOP has turned into Stalin's Russia for revisionism.

Damn Obama, blaming problems on the previous administration!

From Ronald Reagan's <b>1983</b> State of the Union (that's two years after he took office, folks...)

<i>"The problems we inherited were far worse than most inside and out of government had expected; the recession was deeper than most inside and out of government had predicted. Curing those problems has taken more time and a higher toll than any of us wanted."</i>
