1. he has no base. I have never been to a tea party rally, listened to Glenn Beck without getting physically sick or taken Ann Coulter seriously yet I was so disgusted with Charlie when he ran for gov that I opted to leave that line empty. His only appeal has always been that he wins.

2. the hug. I can live with the fact that he wanted stimulus cash, who doesn’t want free fed money? What was a problem that he actually campaigned for the bill and gave the Prez a hug. One thing is to show respect another to hug. Heck, I’m not even sure I ever saw W and Jeb hug.

3. he lies. now he says he did campaign for the stimulus bill despite writing a letter for it. Obama comes to the state and he claims he had no idea. Really?

4. he’s dirty. Roger Stone, nuff said. Ok maybe not, Scott Rothstein. There I’m done.

5. he takes the GOP vote for granted. From day 1 Charlie reached across the aisle to Dems – they adored him and lauded him. I actually think he thought they were his friends. When a vacancy in the court came up he even selected a Dem much to the right’s horror. Now he is surprised that he isn’t popular in his own party.

6. He trashed Jeb. Unlike his bro Jeb was generally popular and could count on a fanatical borderline Reaganesque following in the party. Crist’s eagerness to distance himself from Jeb didn’t make him any new friends and guaranteed that Jeb would sit and watch him rot.
