When are we going to hear from Mike Anton again? I want to hear what he thinks of recent stories on the Bush administration and civil liberties:

In the conservative blogosphere, New Majority is like a breath of fresh air. Independent thinking is welcomed; no one is afraid to challenge the Old Guard; and no one is banned for sincere criticism, as long as they remain civil and on-topic. In that it resembles conservatism in the 1970s, when all sorts of innovative and audacious ideas were coming from conservatives, while liberals were stuck repeating ancient cliches and supporting the Old Guard of Democrats. That is what drew me to conservatism, and I have been a conservative ever since. My main criticism is that the facilities of this blog are primitive, as compared to most other political blogs. Please add facilities to enable better formatting and review of posts. The inability to separate even a medium-sized post into paragraphs is particularly troublesome.

i love it; the ‘new voices’ of the republican party rush and his wannabes, newt and grover norquist. All with no constructive policy other than to serve the interests of the wsj editorial page with less regulations, less corp and cap gains taxes.
an excellent way to build beyond your abyss
once more into the abyss
btw what did Newt ever accomplish when he had power (other than shutting downt the govt)
you go guys
actually rush is right since you guys have no ideas the best you can do is hope like lenin

From David Frum to Sinz54:
Thanks for the criticism of the site’s technical facilities. We’re working now on a major redesign and technical upgrade, which I hope to unveil in time for our 60 day anniversary. Thanks for bearing with us on the shakedown cruise. I hope the content is worth the inconvenience.

I’m sure that your high numbers yesterday were, in large part, due to the Huffington Post picking up on one of your pieces. I wish you luck. The Democrats need an opposition party that isn’t laughable.

“conservatism in the 1970s, when all sorts of innovative and audacious ideas were coming from conservatives” Like what? Wage and price controls? Reagan and Newt brought the GOP to power. Don’t forget that sinz.

Zonie. At this rate, I think David would end up writing for HuffPost.

David, when doing the redesign/tech upgrade, there needs to be a better way to read posts by author. Right now, it breaks them up by month, but the order in which posts are listed within a month appears to be without rhyme or reason. I would like it much better if posts were either listed newest to oldest or vice versa.

Thanks David for giving those of us who are not denizens of the major internet websites an alternative that permits us to express views and not be banned or ridiculed. What the GOP is today is not what anyone thirty years ago could have dreamed up. And this gives the loyal opposition a place to vent and express concerns. It would be so much easier to stay Independent or even Dems, but many of us remember how the Republican Party really worked and want to see that happen again.
