Radio host Laura Ingraham, National Review’s Byron York and his wife Marty, and NewMajority Editor David Frum and his wife Danielle invited friends to the Frums’ Washington, D.C. home for cocktails on the evening of Inauguration Day. Blue and Red State drinks were served: ”Blue Hawaiians” for the Obamicans; bright red Cosmpolitan cocktails for anti-Palin cosmopolitan Republicans, beer for populist pro-Palin Republicans. At least they could toast another inaugural event: the launch of FrumForum.com earlier that day.

As a US citizen, I was thrilled by the historic value of last night’s inauguration. As a resident of Chicago, I am gravely concerned about Obama governing the country given his record, reputation and connections on his Chicago resume. As a conservative, I, like most, have turned to the internet to get my updates and news given the grotesque bias of the MSM. Most of the country is engaged in politics, and they have ruined what could have been a true reflection of what politics should be in our country – a healthy debate that informs and creates opinions. But they blew it. And time will tell if they can survive from a limited wary audience. We wait to see if this man can move into the role of President and understand the importance of the office, otherwise, he will remain the Great Campaigner, which may end up being his legacy.
