Green Shoots?

The Jobs section of the Washington Post today, Sunday, July 5, has a total of three pages of actual listings – slightly less if you omit the two ads for the Post itself and a large ad giving jobs for ITT in response to a new federal contract. And the Washington area has weathered the recession reasonably well.

Anecdote may not be the basis for policy, but nor can it be ignored completely.
