Goldwater gave the Right a rallying cry. "Slightly less spending than them." is not such a cry. The question is can we have rally points that do not scare off the rest of America? If the future of the Republican Party is to be like the "wets" of the Tory Party we are doomed anyway and no conservative should devote time and energy to the Republican Party. This is spot on.
