This is a good point, actually.

If Obama indeed "wants to make America like Denmark" as his GOP detractors claim, then he might be well advised to start by looking at how the Danes deal with corruption. The Scandinavian social democracies typically fare better than the U.S. in this respect.

Obviously, voters will trust government only if they think there is little corruption and waste.
