Pamela Gorman may actually be bright, for all I know. But she sure tries hard not to sound that way.

I was expecting rational thought and logic, which is clearly not her thing.

I keep hoping a leader will emerge in the party to bring us back from the edge but nothing so far……..

She may get a lot of attention but then there are many women in the Democratic Party who are not stupid and get attention: Nancy Pelosi, Hillary Clinton, Feinstein, Debbie Wasserman-Schultz just to name a few who are often on television.

This is a good question. A Christine Todd Whitman pretty much disappears from view, only to be trotted out once in awhile to suggest that there are some moderate Republicans. See – look! Snowe and Collins get attention for almost being willing to vote on one piece of legislation or another, then quickly are ignored once again. Kay Bailey Hutchison actually tried her hardest to sound stupid during the Texas Gubernatorial Primary, but Rick Perry outstupided her and won the primary easily (though he’s now virtually tied with ex-Houston Mayor Bill White in the polls, even if White is wholly uninspiring as a candidate). We’re hearing a reasonable amount about Meg Whitman and Carly Fiorina out in California, but let’s see if they have any ability to influence the party if they don’t win their races.

Then again, it is fair to note that Maxine Waters gets too much attention as well.

For that matter, how come the stupidest men in the GOP are the most visible?

I thought Minnesota was one of the “smart” states – and yet they elect this woman?

Her district must be the Red Part of Minnesota…
