He has traveled extensively in Latin America, including an internship with the US Embassy in Caracas, Venezuela. He has also worked for ProPeru, an NGO in Urubamba, Peru and lived in Buenos Aires, Argentina.

Currently, deposed Honduran president Manuel Zelaya is holed up in Tegucigalpa after a harrowing overland escape into his own country. He is attempting to stir up anti-democratic populism to overthrow the current government. Yet, the United States still won’t budge from it’s stance that his removal from office was a “coup.” more

The Obama administration has not yet proven anything in Russia. They have hitherto failed to achieve any substantive agreement with President Medvedev over the most pressing U.S. Russian issues. more

The military intervention in Honduras last Sunday was democratic. The military expelled President Zelaya on orders from the Supreme Court and a unanimous Congress. Yet, President Obama has joined Fidel Castro and Hugo Chávez, amongst other paragons of Latin American democracy, in condemning the “coup” as illegal. more
