The Washington Examiner may need to be renamed The Oceania Times after a brilliant bit of Orwellian doublethink. In its Monday editorial, the Washington Examiner declared both that (1) “the Earth’s average temperatures have been declining for a decade” and (2) that Europe’s cap and trade program “has been in effect for five years, yet has more

It’s Earth Day. Republicans can ignore it as a made-up event with links to old hippies, or we can embrace the role of stewards for our shared home. I vote for the latter.
Several times in the past I have urged the GOP to put aside its aversion to a certain presidential loser/Nobel Prize winner and focus on more

My recent post advocated getting over Al-Goraphobia and looking at the science, not merely a polarizing political personality. Now it is time to lay out some data. The headlines give a confusing array of information. Are we really cooling? Is ice melting or expanding? It snowed the day Al Gore testified to Congress, does that mean anything?

If the Republican Party is to reclaim its historic status as a party of conservation, we must get over our corporate case of Al-Goraphobia soon and give the case for climate change the fair hearing it deserves. Gore has given Republicans an environmental excuse, a way to avoid analyzing the science because we can dismiss more

FoxNews on MLK/inauguration weekend presented a contrast in styles.
Mike Huckabee used the occasion to highlight the amazing legacy of King; have a civil conversation with the former New York governor Mario Cuomo on both Lincoln’s legacy and the relationship of religion to politics; and to surprise 76 African American students and their teacher with tickets more
