Ahmadinejad Pens Book Denying Holocaust

Iranian president Mahmoud Ahmadinejad in July published a new book gathering together his speeches and statements denying the Jewish Holocaust. The Paris-based Aladdin project has now published a translation of the book into English. An excerpt from the book’s preface:

The Holy Al-Quds (Jerusalem) and Palestine are among the most fundamental issues for the Muslim world. The exalted place of Al-Quds in the eyes of Muslims and the creation of the usurper regime of Israel in the historical and Islamic country of Palestine are not issues that can be left to oblivion under the pretext of multilateral negotiations and without the presence of the true owners of this land.

To forget the crime that was committed against the nation of Palestine and Al-Quds would be tantamount to denying the identity and the honor of all Muslim nations and negating the collective existence of Islamic states on the one hand and acceptance of that illegitimate and illegal regime on the other.

If Muslim governments continue to negotiate about the identity of Al-Quds and Palestine, then all Muslim countries and peoples will be drawn to a position of apathy and passivity towards the Zionist regime and the Oppressor States that created it. By demanding merely “our rights,” we would place the Oppressors and the violators of the sanctity of Al-Quds and Palestine in a position superior to ours, whereas the Islamic identity of Al-Quds and Palestine is not about granting a concession, but the right of a nation for which the world bears responsibility. In other words, it is the inherent right of the Palestinians that both the identity and the land of Al-Quds be returned to them. While the dominating World Order has offered its full backing and recognition to the bogus regime of Israel, how could the Muslim world allow itself to stoop to a humiliating and passive position by interpreting that “right” as a concession?

Let us not forget that for centuries and up to the present time, Al-Quds and Palestine have formed the front of the confrontation between the Land of Islam and the Land of Infidels. To abandon the oppressed nation of Palestine and ignore that importance of Al-Quds would result in the humiliation and weakening of the entire Muslim world… By offering a fresh reading of the lying myth of the Holocaust and explanation of how this was linked to the creation of the bogus regime of Israel, the President of the Islamic Republic of Iran has once again placed the issue of Al-Quds and Palestine at the core of the speeches and writings of Islamists in the region and around the world. With Palestine at the focal point of Islamic thinking and reflection, it was possible to extinguish the flames of many contentions within the Muslim world and focus all minds on the role of the Big Powers in creating a fictitious regime and in the mass expulsion of a historical nation. All around the world, many began to pose important questions about the lying myth of the Holocaust and the legal and legitimate grounds for the existence of that regime.

“All around the world, many began to pose important questions about the lying myth of the Holocaust and the legal and legitimate grounds for the existence of that regime.”

This clown should take a crash course in epistemology, or an introduction to logic and critical thinking, so he can learn how factual evidence is often considered support for an argument, around the world, even if it is only probable. It is true that the senses can be deceiving, but where the holocaust is concerned I don’t think it would be a case of going out on a limb to suggest the evidence is overwhelming.

Sounds like Ahmadinejad has learned from American politics. If you want to be in the spotlight make the most outrageous statement you can think of – facts and logic are becoming irrelevant.

The question is – is Ahmadinejad that much more crazy that Pat Buchanan’s new book insisting that Hitler really didn’t intend to be expansionist?

Pat Buchanan isn’t president of a nation developing nuclear weapons.
    Ahmedinijad is.

Tell you what: To preserve the balance of power, let’s arm Pat Buchanan with nuclear weapons. :-)

    Ahmedinijad is.

Fortunately, the power to actually make decisions about things like nuclear weapons doesn’t reside in Ahmedinijad’s hands.

The problem with giving Buchanan nukes would be that he’s more likely to deploy them as an anti-immigrant measure on the US-Mexico border than anything else.

I wonder if we should make this required reading at UNC. Or maybe Duke.
